BEHIND THE ROMEO’S GIN PROJECT, THERE’S A SERIES OF 24 MONTREAL ARTISTS. WE ASKED THEM A FEW QUESTIONS IN ORDER TO UNDERSTAND THEIR VISION AND THEIR EXPERIENCE OF ROMEO’S MUSEUM, CANADA’S FIRST URBAN ART MUSEUM!

Q: How does it feel to be here with 23 other artists?

A: Well I’m happy. There is a lot of the artists that are my friends, but hum I’m amazed to be part of that group. Sincerely, there is a lot of talent here and a lot of my friends. So, I’m really proud that we asked me to be part of that project.

Q: How does it feel to create and work in a staircase?

A: It’s hot, there is a lot of neon, it’s small but it’s a big challenge, especially my wall. The scaffolds, my fear of heights… It was perfect, I’ve grown doing that project.

Q: What is a museum for you?

A: It’s a place with a lot of artworks who represent different moments and periods. I really believe that this museum represent our period, it’s fix in the time and it shows what’s the art world in Montreal. I think that is so beautiful.
