BEHIND THE ROMEO’S GIN PROJECT, THERE’S A SERIES OF 24 MONTREAL ARTISTS. WE ASKED THEM A FEW QUESTIONS IN ORDER TO UNDERSTAND THEIR VISION AND THEIR EXPERIENCE OF ROMEO’S MUSEUM, CANADA’S FIRST URBAN ART MUSEUM!

Q: How does it feel to be here with 23 other artists?

A: I think it’s great. It ends the season well. As I always say, Montreal’s like the village of the Smurfs. To be here with my friends and working at the same place it’s just a boost to perform more.

Q: How does it feel to create and work in a staircase?

A: Well, I realized earlier today that we can open the doors, so now it’s more airy ahah. It’s cool because I can look down and see Pony working there and look up and see Bryan. It’s really pleasant. Everyone has their own staircase, it’s cool.

Q: What is a museum for you?

A: A museum it’s an exposition place. A place where there is more than one artwork and where people can go admire them.

LE TRANSIT

Transit is an influence and fusion between graffiti and ancestral Kbach style found in the thousand- year-old temple temples of Angkor in Cambodia. The work aims to be a visual and meditative break in the FONKi universe.
