A multidisciplinary artist based in Montreal, Cyndie Belhumeur combines multiple forms, patterns and multiple images with overlapping effects. Her work seeks to question accumulation, density, intimacy, and information overload.
The artwork brings together images with multiple overriding patterns. Every shape fights for the viewer’s attention, but none of them is clearly visible. The visuals are set as to create a chaotic but harmonious feel. The overwhelming mural conveys feelings of saturation, alienation and informational overload.
