For the 375th anniversary Montreal edition, we chose an artist that never ceases to amaze us with his unique interpretation of the architectural history of the city. Marc Gosselin, originally from the Lanaudière region, lives and works in the Hochelaga neighbourhood, and explores urban art since 2010.
Marc Gosselin is the definition of an urban artist. His subject is the skyline and industrial landscape of the city. Working from photographs, Marc applies paint and various three-dimensional elements to canvases literally constructed from found wood – wooden palettes, blocks, and other materials.
