THIS COCKTAIL IS:

Inspired by the freshness of spring, the team gathered at a restaurant at lunchtime to rack their brains and find other sources of inspiration, which would finally allow them to find the perfect recipe for romeo’s gin. 

That’s when everything came together, the second Karolyne Auger Duvernois,  tasted the soup of the day she had just ordered: a cold soup, made with cucumber, lemon, dill, lavender and almond shavings. A revelation!

We recreated this soup to share with you the original inspiration of romeo’s gin. A story reminiscent of the first days of spring, and unexpected sources of inspiration for creativity.

Ingredients

  • 500 ml of unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 large English cucumber, peeled
  • ⅓  cup of roasted unsalted almonds
  • 1 pack of fresh dill
  • ¼  cup of lavender syrup*
  • Finely grated zest of a lemon
  • The juice of the same lemon
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

 

*Lavender syrup
Mix:

  • ¼  cup of sugar cane syrup
  • 1 tbsp of lavender flowers
  • Let infuse for 1 hour
  • Fine strain

Accessories

  • Blender
  • Peeler
  • Microplane zester
  • Mesh strainer

Preparation

  • Mix all the ingredients, preferably in a high speed blender.
  • Serve very cold, garnished with almond pieces, lemon zest and lavender flowers.
