Inspiration for the cocktail : I was inspired by the bright and golden colors of the artwork. First of all, gold appealed to me a lot, so I wanted to make it present in my cocktail. Montreal’s cultural diversity is worth all the gold in the world for me. My second great source of inspiration was the Asian influence present in the forms of the mural. So I decided to use Asian ingredients in my cocktail: nori saline, miso, rice vinegar and Shōchū. Finally, the fusion of street art (graffiti) and Asian influences is a good representation of Montreal. These ingredients, in my opinion, are a perfect match for romeo’s gin. I wanted a very bright and intense cocktail in both colors and flavors.
